We have moved into a new
larger & more accessible studio at the Carefree Resort. We will
be posting our new Summer & Fall 2008 workshop & class
schedule in the next few days. The new location features a complete
professional glass coldworking studio. Additional kilns
and studio equipment have been added to the new location. This
location is handicap accessible.

Peggy Pettigrew Stewart will be teaching several of her very special and
unique workshops. We are thrilled to have Peggy show us her newest
techniques, processes and projects. As she has become so busy with
her art, she has very little time available for teaching these days.
We are thrilled that we will get her to ourselves for a few
workshops! Plasma Fusion Glass, Advanced Fusing, Sandblasting
& sandcarving glass, kiln casting, molds & sandcasting, and

Keith
Jones will be
teaching glass sandblasting, sandcarving & more. He will be
teaching about working with plotter-cutters and stencil making
machines. Included will be glasses in using Photoshop & Corell
to create your own stencils for sandblasting / carving. Keith
is a master sandcarver of glass. In addition Keith will be
teaching mold making and kiln casting basics.
Jean
Lutz: A very talented glass &
ceramics artist from Prescott Arizona. Jean will be teaching several
new workshops at the studio. Jean has many wonderful and creative
ideas, which we will utilize her talents in the studio whenever we
can steal her away from her home in Prescott! Jean's glass
& ceramics are available in our Gallery. Her wonderful
home decor items are gorgeous! Glass
Bottles: This is a brand new course created by this talented
artist! Join Jean for a day of creativity and fun. Recycle
your glass bottles into functional and decorative items for your
home & garden. Learn to decorate slumped bottles to create:
chees trays, spoon rests, wind chimes, key holders, sun catchers,
plates, and much more! You will have an opportunity to decorate
your bottles using techniques that include: drilling holes,
sandblasting, applying special glass paints and using the

Mike & Ryan Apfel
from Nipomo California. They will be
teaching their fabulous Iridized Glass processes. Includes:
sandblasting, sandwhich, and more. PLUS their fabulous shaping and
creating with the ring saw and sandblaster. Their beautiful work is
available in our gallery.
Special guest
instructor: BOYCE LUNDSTROM
One of the original glass
masters, and pioneers of glass fusing. Boyce is the author of
several of the best selling books on glass fusing, kiln casting
& mold making. Boyce will be teaching a multi-day special
workshop. |
